The Poetic Dance Theater Company has created and hosts the Annual Dancing Poetry Festivals in San Francisco since 1993. We have been honored with many awards.

We invite intermediate and advanced dancers who can perform in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and, occasionally, anywhere in the world. Innovative solos are frequently worked into the company's choreography. Here, Rona Anderson performs her unique moves in the troupe's Souvenirs of China, as performed in the Florence Gould Theater in the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco, CA, during the Dancing Poetry Festival, October, 2006.

Natica Angilly's Poetic Dance Theater Company performs Matisse in Morocco at Rakkasah West, Richmond, CA, March, 2007. This dance was created for one of the Grand Prize winning poems of the Dancing Poetry Festival, 2006. The poet was Sandra Soli of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During dance performances, the poem is read by Richard Angilly.

The Poetic Dance Theater Company performs at all of the Rakkasah events. Rakkasah West is in the Solano County Fairgrounds, Vallejo, CA in March. Rakkasah East is at the Ukranian Hall in Somerset, New Jersey, in October. Winter Moon takes place in February at Temple Beth Hilel in Pinole, CA. Summer Fusion Festival will be in June in Somerset, New Jersey. To learn more about Rakkasah events, visit them at www.rakkasah.com.

If these exciting performances look like something you would like to be a part of, please contact Natica Angilly at naticaaei@aol.com. Include your name, phone number, town and something about your dance interests. She will phone you to discuss the time, location and other details about the dance company and auditions.
