Artists Embassy International, the sponsoring organization for Natica Angilly's Poetic Dance Theater Company, has various annual events. Please mark your calendar to be sure you can participate. In addition to our annual events, many other events occur during the year to offer our members many exciting artistic activities and venues.

January 1-April 15: Opening of the interntional Dancing Poetry Contest on which the Dancing Poetry Festival is built around each September. For rules, please click on "Contest Rules" tab.

February: Pinole, CA, February Dance Celebration. Contact Naticaaei@aol.com for info.

February: Redwood Empire Chinese Association Chinese New Year Celebration and Fundraiser, February. A contingency of AEI members always attends this event in Santa Rosa, CA. Please visit www.recacenter.org.  Contact Judy Cheung, jhcheung@comcast.net for info.

March: Richmond, CA: Rakkasah West, AEI's biggest fundraiser event. We have a large sales booth of AEI products and are also an official sales site for Rakkasah. Natica does poetic dance. Rakkasah is a Middle Eastern Dance Festival and Bazaar.  Please visit www.rakkasah.com
 
April: Somerset, New Jersey: Spring Fusion Dance Festival and Bazaar. A Rakkasah event. Please visit www.rakkasah.com

April: National Dance Week Classes and Performance. Contact Natica at naticaaei@aol.com for info.

April: April 15 is the received by deadline for the Dancing Poetry Contest which provides the program for the Dancing Poetry Festival in September. This early deadline date is to ensure we have time to judge the poems, then choreograph and costume, etc., our prize winners and to coordinate the poets reading and supportive acts into a grand performance for you all.

Summer: Approximately every 2 years, AEI joins with United Poets Laureate International to attend the World Congress of Poets.  2016 was in Rohnert Park, CA; 2018 was in Nakornpathom, Thailand; 2020 was planned to be in Odissa, India. Due to the Corona-19 world-wide pandemic, this Congress has been canceled.   Please visit www.upli-wcp.org for info.
 
June: June 1 is the deadline for dance proposals for the Dancing Poetry Festival.

August,  2nd Saturday: Santa Rosa, CA: Multi-Cultural Poetry Reading and Pot Luck Lunch co-sponsored with Santa Rosa's Poets of the Vineyard and the Redwood Empire Chinese Association. Please visit www.recacenter.org or contact Judy Cheung at jhcheung@comcast.net for inof.  

September: San Francisco's California Palace of the Legion of Honor: Dancing Poetry Festival with prize winning poets from around the world invited to read their prize winning work and at least 10 additional dance acts combining poetry and dance as a unified dance form.  3 Grand Prize Winners from the Dancing Poetry Contest will also be choreographed and danced.

December:
